We give away free real hair wigs to children that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other illnesses. In addition to this, we are thrilled to announce the exciting news that, in partnership with CCLG (Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group) we awarded over £500,000 to fund research into childhood cancers in 2016. Further to this, we gave away another £106,000 to other research projects at the very start of 2017, with further grant awards given mid-year too, the research funding total now stands at a staggering £1,200,000!
The Little Princess Trust has always been determined to support as many children as it can and providing free wigs to sick children will always remain at the very heart of what we do. In line with our original objectives, we also really wanted to support the development of less aggressive and less toxic cancer treatments and so last year we were in a position to invite for the first time applications for funding from academics and organisations involved in researching the causes of paediatric cancer. continue to read at....http://www.littleprincesses.org.uk/what-we-do/
